Styled Garden
Janet and John Kiddies Rides Alnwick Garden

We already had a Penny Press at Alnwick Gardens, however due to the pandemic Alnwick Gardens had decided to become a cashless business.

Our machine at this point only had a cash coin mech and therefore was unable to be used on the sales floor.

Alnwick Gardens is a fabulous attraction which The Penny Press brand has had a successful relationship.

We had been working on a new upgrade for our machines and contacted our contact at the Gardens to show them our marketing video so they could see the upgrade operating.

Implementing the Brand

We reached agreement with the Gardens to upgrade their machine and we went and collected it. The machines rustic feel fitted with Alnwick Gardens and we did not want to change that too much.

Improving the machine was important and we decided to cut the modern step into the machine and add to the bases appearance.

We also upgraded the branding on the machine to ensure that the machine had a fresh feel for reopening in 2021.

Return on Investment

Not only will the new machine maintain Alnwick Gardens revenue stream we believe we will increase the revenue from this machine by up to 40%.

It will therefore be a great reintroduction to the market place and will be there to engage with customers for years to come.

Janet and John Kiddies Rides Chester Zoo

After a year out of use our friends at Chester Zoo contacted us and asked us to refurbish their existing 10 penny press machines for their reopening on April 12th.

We collected their 10 penny press machines and brought them back to our workshop. Each machine was stripped down to its component pieces.

All the wood was treated or replaced and then sanded down and stained. The perspex cabinets were washed, rubbed down and then polished using our specialised equipment in our workshop. Their mechanisms were stripped down and cleaned ensuring all components were working in order for ease of use.

Once all components were either cleaned, painted and tested we looked at which parts required replacement we rebuilt and tested each machine. The machines were then delivered to Chester Zoo before their reopening less than two weeks later.

Return on Investment

Chester Zoo will now be able to access the revenue generated from the Penny Press machines for the first time in over a year. More importantly their customers can collect the coins and create the images and memories together of visiting Chester Zoo.
